Eligiblity&Policy&Lesson Plan

Our current age range is 5 to 12 years old.
Because our program is designed to progress over 2–3 years, we may ask to discuss enrollment for children starting from Grade 5 or above.
The curriculum follows a three-term system (Jan–Mar, Apr–Aug, Sep–Dec), similar to a school year.
Each term includes 12 to 16 gymnastics lessons (60 minutes each, depending on term length), and one Level grading at the end of the term.

Our lessons are bright, fun, and encouraging—we focus on recognizing each child’s strengths and helping them grow.
We follow five key Gymnastics Rules to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
We want everyone to enjoy class safely—so if a child’s actions affect others or the lesson, we’ll step in to guide them appropriately.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

5 Gymnastics Rules

  1. Follow the coach. (コーチの指示に従う事)
  2. Watch, listen, don’t play! (よく見る、よく聞く、遊ばない!)
  3. Answer ‘Yes coach!’. (はい、コーチ!と返事をする事)
  4. Never give up. (あきらめずに挑戦する事)
  5. Have fun! (レッスンを楽しむ事)

Gymnastics lessons generally follow the plan outlined below. Please note that lesson content may be adjusted as needed.

    • 5 min – Lesson begins: greetings, review of gymnastics rules, and simple English questions

    • 20 min – Warm-up: includes basic exercises plus core and motor skill development
    • 15 min – Mat exercises
    • 15 min – Bar / Vault / Trampoline
    • 5 min – Stretching & cool-down
    • End of lesson – Rule review, and announcements

Goals for Gymnastics program

At Tumble Kids, we focus on both mental and physical growth while helping children gradually master a wide range of gymnastics skills.

For beginners, we place special emphasis on building foundational techniques such as:

• Floor exercises: forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, and cartwheels
• Bar: Pull over, backhip circles
• Box hourse: Straddle vaults and forward rolls on the box
• Trampoline: Fun movement that helps children discover how fun exercise can be

Once children have mastered these basics, they begin learning more advanced skills not typically taught in school PE classes:
• Floor exercises: bridge to backward roll to handstand, round-offs, back roll to handstand, and front&back handsprings
• Bar: Front hip circle, muscle pull over, kips
• Box horse: Tuck vaults, head springs, hand springs and cartwheel vaults
• Trampoline: backflips, front flips, and handsprings

While skill development is important, our true goal is to help children grow in both body and mind—through joyful movement, personal effort, and the experience of mastering techniques on their own, sometimes even without a coach’s support!

たいそうチャレンジ

Gymnastics Challenge (Level grading)

The Gymnastics Challenge is held at the end of each term for children who wish to participate.
The challenge is divided into 15 levels. Skills typically taught in school PE classes—such as mat exercises, bar work, and vaulting—are covered by Levels 6 to 7. Beyond that, children take on more advanced techniques not taught in standard school programs.

The purpose of the Gymnastics Challenge is to help children gain confidence presenting in front of others, and to motivate them to work toward mastering the next level.
Those who pass a level receive a certificate and a Master Badge.
Children who do not pass still receive a special Never Give Up Badge, celebrating their effort and encouraging a positive, resilient mindset

Gymnastics competition

Tumble Kids Challenge Cup

At Tumble Kids, we host the annual “Tumble Kids Challenge Cup” during summer break to offer children unique learning experiences beyond regular lessons.
Our goals include helping children gain confidence by performing in front of a large audience, encouraging steady effort toward personal goals, and fostering resilience—even when results don’t go as hoped.

We’ve received many heartfelt comments from families, such as:
“My son was so focused and serious, knowing he was being watched by many people. I’m glad he had this experience.”
“He was thrilled to receive a medal! He says he’ll work even harder next year.”
“I was so moved, I cried watching my child perform.”

We’ll continue to invest in this event so children can grow through experiences that regular lessons alone cannot provide.
